Nicole Richmond is a member of Biiigtigong Nishnaabeg First Nation and her work is grounded in Anishnaabe worldview. She completed her undergraduate training in Political Science and Philosophy at McMaster University and obtained her law degree from the University of Toronto. On graduation, Nicole was awarded significant, university-wide leadership awards: the President's Award for Excellence from McMaster and the Gordon Cressy Award from University of Toronto. In addition, Nicole studies meditation, consciousness, energy-healing and restorative practices.  

Nicole was called to the bar in 2007. In her legal career, she has worked at a litigation boutique in downtown Toronto, at an Aboriginal and Treaty rights boutique law firm and at full-service law firms in Thunder Bay. In her administrative career, she has worked as the Indigenous Education lead for a school board and in the justice sector for a First Nation political organization.  

Nicole's experiences have showed her that people are ready for change. People want to do things in a totally new and different way. They want to infuse principles of love, respect and compassion into their their work and their relationships. This is where Nicole steps in.  Nicole provides professional and technical support that is grounded in holistic practices, Anishnaabe values and emotional intelligence.

Nicole's objective is to build understanding of the big picture and help others develop attitudes, skills and tools that evolve current practices. Is your organization ready to grow?
